I'll say this... from the time I was in kindergarten to HS senior, this is what happened following the school year
K - Rowland Heights
1st - Palmdale
2nd - Arcadia
3rd - Pasadena (Longfellow)
4th - East Pasadena (Wilson)
5th - Pasadena (Longfellow) (I was bussed as part of desegregation)
6th - Paris, ID (Emerson)
7th - Brigham City (BE JrHigh)
8Th - Paris, ID (BL JrHigh)
9th - Paris, ID (BL JrHigh)
10th - Bakersfield (North)
11th - Bakersfield (North)
12th - Fruit Heights (Davis)

As you can see, my upbringing was anything but stable as it relates to school. Yet I somehow earned a scholly to BYU and to Weber. Went to college, became an Army officer, and have lived abroad 21 of the last 24 years here in China.

My kids, due to the military and our international job, were all homeschooled for the most part. In all, since we have been married, I just completed our 23 move. The kids were all at home for all or part of 20 of those moves. And amazingly, they are all are very normal (except for the Aspie), all graduated from college; three attended BYU at some point (one graduated, two transferred, one for personal reasons (Aspie), the other for nursing school). None of them suffered any social angst over being homeschooled or overseas 9 months of the year, all of them are good citizens. One son spent fall for three years with my parents so he could play football at Pineview. The girls are wonderful mothers. The boys, one served a mission, the other not. They both need a wife.

Point here is that thru two generations and all those moves, no one was harmed in the course of these life events. No one needs therapy.
