Developing players is one of the pillars BYU must rely on.
BYU may not get all the top LDS talent and even fewer of the non-LDS top talent so they have to make the absolute most out of the players they do get and grow them. There are several programs who have made a science out of this and I hope BYU can follow that model.
Putting 3-star players into the NFL because they had the potential and just needed the training will be the results.

No hate on Roderick, as I’m really excited to see him as OC, but this seems like a pretty obvious mentality.
