I only focused on Saturday games because that's the choice TV partners are making from a Tier 1/2
standpoint. Also, because Saturday games are usually all at the top of the ratings list week by week. The conference doesn't put their top matchups on non-Saturday games unless they don't want top ratings. (see article posted below)

So, my point was where the PAC-12 was choosing to put different programs in the conference on TV in conjunction with their TV partners. If they all created equal value, it would show. Obviously, they don't. It's also telling that for BYU's two home games with two of the PAC-12 marquee schools, ESPN put them on Saturday afternoons on ABC.

So, while BYU's indy contract might not make $25 million by itself, they need to consider that BYU's value in the PAC-12 would be with who BYU would be playing 9 games out of 12 instead of just 6 and how much TV providers would value that. My thought is they would slide BYU right under USC/UW/Oregon about where Stanford and UCLA are.
