My 2014 seized and it was a r/r title and they still covered it.
Because it’s a recall vs a warranty thing I would be very surprised if they didn’t cover it.

Yep. My 2012 limited at 121,000 seized this last Friday. Being verified today.

Had a 2014 Sonata seize and they replaced the whole engine about 6 months ago.
