The kick off you mentioned after the safety was a momentum shift for sure. We kicked from the 20, the ball was caught in the 17 with 4+ second hangtime(that is good hangtime). On a normal kick off that would have landed on the 3ys line just like they are asked to do. Our cover team didn’t stay in their lanes, we’re a bit slow to cover and UA returned it for a big gain. The kicker did their job! If your going to mention momentum shifts how about when Justen kicked the 40yd FG and silenced their comeback! Huge moment for BYU. Kalani recognized that and called Justen out for his performance coming off the bench to play and doing well! Justen was asked to lead out the fight song in the locker room afterwards!
