I'm not excusing his behavior, but he didn't kill someone or anything

He made a stupid mistake. He's obviously got a serious hang up about BYU that far exceeds any love he may have for Utah, and that screams insecurity, but it was just a really stupid, yet pretty harmless decision. He doesn't strike me as the type who thinks really long and deep before he makes a decision.
