If I knew anything about running a restaurant, I’d start one and have a sign
That said
“In this establishment, we find tipping grossly offensive. We pay our employees well. If you enjoyed the food or service, feel free to leave a message on the cards provided at every table. If you feel you have too much money, here is an envelope to donate it to [insert charity].”
If we could just change the culture to view tipping as a “lower class” thing to do, maybe it would get back to what it SHOULD be used for. (Which isn’t “allow employer to pay employees below minimum wage”)
