Fwiw, my wife had a similar experience about four years ago, but she interviewed with a group including a member of the bishopric of the other ward that shares our building. My wife didn't think he recognized her. She had no idea he worked at this company. They had gone from 200 applicants and my wife had made it to the final two in interviews and didn't get the position. Lol.
