Was listening to a podcast about the Big12 and they were discussing which of the new Big12 teams will improve the most due to becoming P5? Their take was that BYU has already been operating as a P5 and will always have a ceiling because of the religious aspect and they’re already doing well so they expected only a slight improvement while UCF and Cinci will probably make large gains.

What they said made a lot of sense and made me reevaluate my expectations for what the P5 status will bring to BYU.

Someone please tell me this is completely wrong and that we will be competing for the national championship by 2025.
