Kalani isn't an idiot. He has a young team who is playing very well, and we are going to transition into a P5 conference
with a LOT more money than we have now - he is going to get paid when that happens, if not sooner.
If anything, he leverages current interest and P5 future inclusion (if he didn't already on his extension 3 weeks ago) into a pay bump that keeps him happy until the Big 12 money rolls in.
