It actually helps BYU, giving exposure to the east and fertile recruiting areas
in TX, OH, and FL, while BYU's strength in the West can continue, as BYU should just schedule Western teams in non-conference play. It expands our footprint.

Well, that's a myth you'd like to believe but it isn't true. Utah & Colorado are right in the middle of the Pac.
