I think when Hawaii kicked the FG to take the lead at 13-12, there was about 9 minutes left. Lots of time left, but not too much. Enough for BYU to have 2 more possessions. On the ensuing possession, BYU methodically moved the ball down field and scored a TD. Even if they had faltered, they could have had one more try to score. As it was, BYU scored the TD and then stuffed Hawaii when Hawaii had one last chance. BYU was stuffing them all game, so that was not a shock when BYU stopped them again. Of Hawaii's 13 points, their lone TD had come on a blocked punt recovered for a TD, if I remember correctly. They had no real offense throughout the game.
