A student came into the office yesterday to ask to see a counselor. She was bawling about living with her aunt and uncle. Neither were working and she was holding down three part time jobs and had sold her car to pay the rent. She was now taking the bus to work and falling behind in school. She kept saying she didn't want to be homeless.

I'm sure there is more to the story, but safe to say people have failed this girl.
