Unfortunately true. We've had the following:

Stolen BYU hitch cover
Broken window at our home after a BYU bball win over Utah
Broken windshield (exactly above BYU cap on dashboard) after a BYU/Utah football game.
Stolen BYU decals from car in driveway (watched a teenager do it and confronted him)
Stolen BYU yard signs and replaced with Utah signs

But even after all that, we still fly the colors proudly.
