I was pissed when Gee spoke out against expansion, but now I understand why.
Or at least I heard an explanation that makes sense. It's leverage that the conferences have over the SEC and making sure they keep an equal seat at the table for the playoffs - particularly after expansion to make sure the SEC doesn't end up with 5 of the seats in a 12 team playoff.

I could see it going only from 4 to 6. Not a lot of incentive to expand really. Yes the SEC would get another berth or
