They just fired a coach that for the most part was very successful by PAC12
Standards.
No way Kalani jumps on a ship where job security is non existent.
BYU will keep him for as long as he wants. It's a benefit even if the pay is a bit lower. The headache from other jobs isn't always worth it.
He would need multiple losing seasons to even have BYU consider firing him. USC won't even give you a chance to finish a single season.
