It's not either one or the other. Yes, it's good for the program to get national
recognition and for the rumors to be out there. That increases exposure for BYU and is proof that things are going in the right direction. However, losing Sitake would be a big blow to the program. Active LDS head coaches don't exactly grow on trees. He'd be really hard to replace.

The whole point of my OP wasn't to say it's good or bad or both or otherwise. It was just to point out that the legs to the rumors, if there are any at all, are very, very tiny. They amount to no more than speculation.
