It is a rule made up by people that don’t understand how difficult it is to play football and to play defense.

There should still be a rule but there should be multiple changes. Maybe some suggestions:

- First, it should really only be a flag if it is a egregious. It needs to be very clear and very dangerous and an example of bad form (head down).

- If a player is defenseless WR coming down from a catch, I support protecting them from those type of hits.

- A first targeting should be a warning to the player and a 15 yard penalty. No ejection and no suspension until the second such call. Maybe that player gets a yellow card or something that lasts a couple games.

I hate the rule as it stands. Ruins the game and punishes people who are just playing football.
