Nice. Good luck whatever he decides. If it were my kid I'd tell him to try rehab
without surgery and play football and do the surgery immediately after. I would expect 3 months recovery and possibly missing the start of some baseball but maybe he gets lucky there. I think it would be easier to miss the start of a season than wonder what if about football.
