I asked her about this specifically, she said there was no sick-out her
husband was aware of, just a severe staffing shortage that started with some ATC issues and possible weather in Florida.
Maybe he's just not in the loop, or the reporting of a sick-out is being reverse engineered for political reasons.

It has nothing to do with masks. We have been flying under a TSA mask mandate since January. Nobody is calling in sick
