Southwest cancels more than a thousand flights, cites air-traffic control issues

Southwest Airlines canceled thousands of flights this weekend amid air-traffic control issues and weather, and the airline has not given an update as to whether the cancellations may continue.

Said it’s more crew based issues because too many got stuck in the same location due to bad weather near Jacksonville. I’m a pilot (though not an airline pilot) and this definitely could be the issue. Yes, they screwed up, but not moving their crews fast enough could definitely have a domino effect.
