I am for the vaccine. I got it as soon as I became eligible.
I’m am not for the mandate though.

I think within our pilot group there is enough vaccinated pilots and enough that have already had covid to reach the level of protection needed.

I think natural immunity should count for something.

We got paid if we had covid and had to quarantine. To qualify for it though you had to show proof of a positive test.

So, if I fly with somebody and they say they had covid I know they really did. There was motivation to be tested. If any of us had symptoms we got tested.

Almost everyone I fly with had covid. Tested and confirmed. Almost everyone I fly with has been vaccinated.

Many got vaccinated, if for no other reason, so they could travel.

I don’t remember the last time I flew with someone who wasn’t vaccinated or hadn’t had covid.

I think the mandate for flight crew is unnecessary.
