Just because he missed the call why do people believe that had Flores just got one more chance to hit against him he would’ve hit a home run or a double or something else that would’ve miraculously won or tied the game? It just goes with a lot of other umpire calls that were probably a little off and it’s just part of the game. He may very well have swung and missed on the next pitch or grounded out. Even the Giants manager said there were many other times in this game that we can look at and see where we could’ve made a difference and didn’t. It just happened to be the last call of the game and that’s why it’s getting scrutinized.

Do I wish the call had been correct and we could’ve seen the outcome with another pitch or two? Sure I do but it’s silly to think that just because they got that wrong means that it would’ve been a different outcome!
