Disney is all in on streaming. ESPN still makes most of its money off the cable

bundle. Rapidly diverging business models, and ESPN will ride the old model as long as it can. If Disney can spin it off for an amount of cash that’ll help fund streaming expansion, might not be a bad idea. As always, depends on what someone would be willing to pay for it.

I doubt it, but they've made some pretty big cutbacks to try and maintain their profit margins.
