ESPN+ is a stream only platform and there are a lot of future plans to scale that as the old cable model fades. Having a sports streaming option is a nice perk that Netflix and Amazon don't really have.

I doubt it, but they've made some pretty big cutbacks to try and maintain their profit margins.
