Illinois isn't Stanford but it's a great school and I feel similarly.
Teaching assistants are much more involved in teaching in undergraduate classes at Illinois. For many of the professors, teaching is a secondary reason they are there. More of the professors I had in my program at BYU were at least as interested in teaching as they were in research.

The network is probably better at more prestigious schools but the education itself isn’t necessarily.
