Or as talent and depth continues to increase, Tuiaki as he has mentioned
Earlier along with Kalani will continue to advance the defense. For example the secondary never played man during Mendenhall's tenure. They couldn't hang this zone was a fixture. However in the last couple of seasons the talent and depth has risen enough that we see man and zone being implemented on the field.

BYU football is very much like the leadership of the church. They hurry up slowly. That is why coaches normally are not ridden out on a rail like at other schools.

It is about consistent improvement of the entire program, not immediate results on the field. It's about finding young men like you see highlighted on Deep Blue and ministering to them in the form of scholarship offers, teaching them to love and serve others, become more Christlike.

There is so much going on underneath what we as fans focus on regarding the program and what is considered is progress by the BOT.

Any coach that gets fired usually has nothing to do with his ability as a coach and more to do with his example to the young men in his stewardship.
