I just moved into my house and the first thing I did was remove the massive tv

If you have a good friend or family member mount their TV above their fireplace, would you hold an intervention?

It’s fine above a gas fireplace, if the height and size are right.

There's no such thing as a right height above a fireplace

They have a new Samsung art frame tv that is pretty sweet and would solve the issue
CSoul

That solves the issue of a TV being mounted way too high up on the wall?
TCuz
10/17/21 6:57pm
Yeh, doesn't solve the too high. But nothing does without tearing out the fireplace.

So you just put it somewhere else.

An 85" screen that far off the ground - your room must be absolutely huge for those proportions to work out.

Not huge but decent. My HCBW is lobbying for a 75”. Told her 85” if she wants all her other prefs on the remodel.
