Don't put the TV in the same room as a fireplace. It doesn't work. If you put
it above the fireplace, you get a suboptimal viewing experience. If you put it elsewhere in the room, then arranging couches becomes impossible because the room has two focal points.
A high TV only works if you are always going to be reclined when watching it or if you are going to be watching it from 20 ft away. Even then, it is still suboptimal.
