So if he's not playing great, what does that say about all the other players on the D? Somebody has to make the tackles and Bywater is the guy who is doing it.

They would always run back to get into position for cover before reacting

It was both. Baylor took advantage of scheme, but guys got out of position or missed tackles a lot.
