Pili really covered for a lot of mistakes he was making...
I think Bywater is playing better now... but even then it's not a whole lot better.
There was 1 drive particular in the Arizona game in which Pili blitzed and Bywater clearly was in a zone defense... instead it was a run play and Bywater literally went into the same hole that Pili had blitzed through and Pili had sealed it, which caused the RB to kick it outside... but because Bywater already went through the hole Pili blitzed into... there was NOTHING to the outside and it ended up being a big gain.
I think Sitake is going to have to hope he can get a lot of help from the transfer portal to shore up the DL and LB's... because outside of Pili and Wilgar... there just isn't that great of depth here and talent.

Mahe, Batty, Bywater, Mariner and Robinson rate out prety low in these rankings. Mahe surprises me the most.
