Let me know how it goes for you. I have most of my stuff scheduled for delivery
on Friday. The Dig-Quads are supposed to arrive sometime the first week of November. Basically I'll hang the lights and run the wires and do all the hard parts of getting the lights physically installed on the house while I wait for the controllers to arrive.

I'm using 12V WS2811 string lights that I'm going to put into J channel with holes for each light spaced 2.5" apart. It's more work to deal with the strings, but my wife wanted the strings instead of strips. The upside is that the WS2811s are readily available on Amazon for 2 day delivery. I have 250' of lights ordered. Mine is also going to come in at about 400' of lights total, so I'll end up ordering some more once I get what I have ordered now installed.

I'm doing two separate control boards - one for the front of the house and one for the side of the house. Our house is L-shaped, and there's a big gap on the corner of the L where I'd need to run wire about 20' to bridge the gap. I don't want to do that, so I ordered two Dig-Quads, two power supplies, two 12v to 5v converters (basically two of everything), and I'll have two independent setups. I'm not sure how well that will work, but we'll see.

Let me know when your control boards arrive. I'm not 100% clear on how to flash them and install the WLED software, but I've watched a couple of videos and it doesn't look that hard.
