All people, like, literally all functioning adults with the ability to speak,
say things in some situations that they wouldn't say (or at least say the same way) in other situations. It's about time, place, and context. Meeting someone (like a coach) in person is a very different context than coming onto a sports message board. There are very different expectations, norms, etc. for these situations. It doesn't mean someone lacks class or integrity if they behave differently in different contexts.
This is an extremely basic concept. Not sure why so many CBers struggle with it.
