I don't think anyone disputes that. The question is how aggressively you go for that, and what you're willing to give up.
If you blitz hard on every down, you're more likely to get a sack, which is a great way to end a drive. But you're also more likely to give up the big play.
There has to be a balance between aggression (to create havoc and get off the field) and stability (to prevent the offense from getting huge plays).
I'm not even saying we're on the right side of that balance, I'm just continually shocked by how many people think the choice is simply between letting opponents drive and not letting them have drives and them lamenting such an obvious wrong choice.
