I haven't checked local laws, but I was under the impression that you are responsible for any firearm you use
and need training on the operation of the weapon. That you need to confirm there are no live rounds, etc. Even if the real gun is just shooting blanks.

Is there some type of exclusion if you are using an actual gun when you acting? Can you use a real weapon and claim ignorance if it kills someone? I understand that there is always some type of range master on set enforcing safety protocols, but don't see how that absolves the person with the gun.

I don't have any guns and truly don't know, just asking.
