As to the visceral experience, I've said the same thing about Saving Private...
Ryan and Mad Max-Fury Road.
Some movies just require a visceral, proprioceptive experience. You just cannot experience Saving Private Ryan at home. It's not the same. It's still an excellent movie. But it's not the same. Same for Fury Road.
Almost all movies are better in a theater, but there are a few that you really need that almost overwhelming experience.
