There are established car makers already, so we know how big the overall market is. The car market is not going to grow the same way the Internet has the last few decades. Not even remotely close.

So what else is Tesla doing? Solar and batteries. There's some growth left in Solar, but not nearly as much as the internet in the past 3 decades. Batteries? Tons of growth opportunity there, BUT...

It is not highly profitable.
