If i am ever on the water in a personal watercraft, I am wearing a life jacket, period. Anyone on my boat does the same or they don’t ride on my boat.

You’re free to choose as you wish. I personally make the decision to be as safe as possible on the water. Sorry it unnerves you so much. Be as snippy as you wish, but my friends would still be here today had any of them been wearing a life jacket. They would have never envisioned that what happened would actually occur, but it did and now they’re gone.

2 died when one slipped off the wet deck and fell in the water, the other dove in to help him. They found their boat on the shoreline, they found the bodies a few weeks later.

1 died in an accident where she was flung off the side of the boat, hit her head, and never resurfaced.

The last one died when he hopped off the boat to swim to a little island no more than a hundred or so yards away. Well within view of everyone. Cramped up and drowned.

So yeah. Stay on your high horse all you want. But when it comes down to my life or an inconvenience on the water, I choose life.
