He thought he was better than the program? That’s 100% presumptuous.
Statements like that ought to be dismissed straight away. You can’t be taken seriously when you claim to know a man’s internal workings without him ever saying anything like that. To the contrary, he’s only ever expressed admiration for the school and team other than the time he spent playing against them at OSU.
If you’re going to assume something about why he left, I’d start with his pay being doubled. But hey, that’s just me.
