wouldn't have attended or finished college (not that that's the most important thing either). But I went to HS with some current college coaches that barely graduated HS.
Many would have little to no shot at a professional or successful career outside of football. It appears some get to where they are at based on their friendships and personality more than anything else (obviously that's debatable and hard to prove).
With that said, I do tip my hat to the ones who make it. It seems like its often just a game of attrition, sacrifice, networking and relationships, though I'm sure there are some savant geniuses sprinkled in there as well.
Now obviously their experience within many parts of the game trumps nearly everyone here, but as mentioned, many here have still spent a considerable amount of time in their lives either playing, coaching or spending hours on end watching the game as well. I don't think it's as big of a gap as some think.
