At our small HS anyone who wants to plays sports can play, and there was this really smart senior kid who decided he would try his hand at basketball. But he was horrible. Even the foriegn exchange student from Southeast Asia was better. We put him in at the end of the game and he was so uncoordinated that the other team didn't know what to do. He got right down by the hoop and we fed him the ball the game was already decided and so all the defenders didn't know if they play defense or not so they let him hit the easy shot and everyone cheered. After it was over the other coach came over and said "That was neat to see your special needs kid hit that shot at the end." The kid who hit the shot felt kind of bad about it too. "Man! They thought I was special needs?" Kind of awkward, but looking back I still chuckle about it.
