My friends, who are indifferent to Utah football but pay attention because I am a fan, love Covey. I get texts when he scores or makes a good play. But my friends and family who are BYU fans loath Covey.

My FIL just the other day said “I don’t know what it is, but I just don’t like Covey.”

If the worst thing he has done is flex over a guy (and immediately apologize after the game), the reasons to dislike him probably have more to do with the rivalry than his personality.
