Just a lot of talk about how he looked tired, less engaged and energetic than normal. Lacked the same fire that most fans were accustomed to seeing. Lots of speculation that the death of Ty Jordan had taken something out of him and that he was likely to retire shortly.
That said, since the loss of Aaron Lowe, he's seemed to find purpose again and seemed more like the Whitt of old. Best guess is that it has to do with being there for the team in this moment, due to the different timings of the two deaths. Both were obviously tragic; Jordan's timing left the team with nothing to do but stew on it, whereas Lowe's has served as a spark for the team to come together.
