Some data that proves these seasons don't come along but rarely:
The closest regular season prior that was like this was 2009. We beat 1 P5 team in the regular season and beat 5 teams in the regular season that ended up bowl eligible. Utah being the only one that finished the season ranked. We had two really good wins that year- Oklahoma and Utah.
In 2008 we beat 2 P5 teams (both were really bad). But we only beat 2 teams that ended the season bowl eligible.
In 2007 we beat 1 P5 team. We beat 4 bowl eligible teams.
2006 we didn't beat any P5 teams. We did beat 4 bowl eligible teams. TCU ended the season ranked and was a good win.
2001 we beat two P5 teams. We only beat 2 teams that ended the season bowl eligible.
1996 we beat 1 P5 team in the regular season. But we only beat two teams that ended up bowl eligible.

Now that our season is winding down, it's obvious this BYU team is good and we've had some really good wins this year.
