Both those scenarios make it less likely. Baylor has to loose big enough to
Drop below BYU, which, if this week puts Oklahoma behind us (thats a big if) would put us at 11 in the poll. At that point the bowls can decide what to do. The only thing BYU can hope is that the Fiesta bowl thinks we will sell it out over a michigan st or somebody else like ole miss.. i would assume sec takes the at large for the peach which leaves BYU, notre dame and michigan st as options for the two openings in the fiesta bowl which is why the odds are so long.. there are a total of six spots for at large teams with no tie in cotton, fiesta and peach, down to 4 with cotton as a playoff this year. That being said I believe Notre Dame takes the acc spot this year as they are ranked higher than the conference champion and the acc champion tie in is the playoff game this year. But i could be wrong
