If a group of missionaries murdered someone and the Church issues an apology, saying that the content of the video doesn’t represent the values of Church members as a whole, does this define my values because it was done by some representatives of my faith? I don’t think so. Thankfully, this is a fictitious example and is overly extreme for illustrative purposes, but if it were to happen, I wouldn’t find it fair to be labeled as someone who supports murder just because someone in a large group that I am a part of did something horrible.
