Hard for any school to sustain success if it’s in an area that doesn’t produce
much homegrown talent. Tennessee has every institutional advantage you could want, but the state just doesn’t produce much talent.
OU is the same - it has to recruit Texas well to compete. A bad hire or two could mess that up. OU has no problem competing with Iowa State, Kansas, K State, TTech, etc., but I think it’s going to be a different story with LSU, Bama, A&M, etc. in the mix.
