I studied indoor air quality in graduate study. Since ozone is reactive (the point of using it in the first place), too much and it will make any rubber seals or some plastics brittle. Overuse and you may have issues with plumbing and water leaks. Or in the case of garages, parts of your car. Ozone exposure weakens your throat and lung cells (generally temporarily) so clear it out (don't hang out while using it).

I'll also say that Ozone is a temporary fix. If the source is still present, you'll be treating the symptom (over and over). The solution to 'pollution' is dilution, but even better is to remove the source. Good luck finding what the source of your wife's reaction is.
