Catastrophic? That loss wasn’t suddenly and terribly devastating. BYU went on
to win 5 out of the next 6, including 3 P 5’s. Losing to Boise State was far from catastrophic. Impactful when it comes to NY 6 or not? Perhaps, but that is an answer to be never known. From past experience, I don’t have much faith in Gary Barta and the CFP committee when it comes to BYU.
