Many recruits would follow him. It would set the program back several years. Multiple 6-6 or worse years would likely be ahead for BYU, especially with the Big12 transition. Many tickets would go unsold. Many bowl dollars would go to other programs. And then when the next coach starts succeeding, he will take off for another program. Kalani will likely be a lifer if he is paid what he is worth.
Just pay the man market value and move forward. This is in the best interest of everyone.
